Jaspal Rana Institute of Education and Technology which bears the name of Jaspal Rana, World Champion in Shooting sport, the most resolute, famous and illustrious hero of the modern Youth of India as a role model, came into existence on 16th March, 2002 under the auspices of the Jaspal Rana Spots and Physical Education Society having its activities in the state of Uttarakhand.

The college aims to provide excellent facilities for the upliftment of physical education and sports in the country and to serve as a model institute for teacher's training by offering presently One Year Bachelor Degree course in Physical Education B.P.Ed. & B.P.E. (3 years)

Headed by Jaspal Rana, PadamShree and Arjuna Awardee at a very tender age of 21 and 19 for his illustrations contributions in the field of Shooting Sport at various International competitions Ranging from Junior World Champion, Asian Games Gold medal winner in different shooting events, Common wealth Gold winner in various categories and ultimately World Record holder in Centre fire Shooting as its President, this institute is set to inspire many coming sport professionals in producing World champions in different sports
